Founded in 1994 in memory of the late Smt. Gayatri Devi Goenka, mother of Chairman Mr. A. K. Goenka, the Group began its journey with just 23 students at the first GD Goenka Public School in Vasant Kunj. Today, that institution alone nurtures the educational aspirations of more than 2,500 students.

Each GD Goenka institution is built around the same philosophy—upholding the highest benchmarks of education, safety, hygiene, and innovation—making the model a replicable success both across India and abroad.

At the core of its philosophy lies global collaboration. The GD Goenka Education City houses the GD Goenka World School, with students from over 30 nationalities, offering IB and IGCSE curricula. It also includes the GD Goenka World Institute, established in academic partnership with Lancaster University, UK, and GD Goenka University, which prepares future leaders through specialized schools.

OUR LEGACY

Since the early 1990s, the GD Goenka Group has built a vibrant and nurturing educational community—from its flagship school in South Delhi to the expansive GD Goenka World School on Sohna Road. Offering programs from Preschool to Doctorate at GD Goenka University, the group blends tradition and family values with modern facilities and a global perspective, supporting students from 18 months to adulthood in becoming confident, future-ready individuals.
